I’ve mentioned that I am going on a road trip soon. My boys and I will be driving across the country to stay with family in eastern Pennsylvania for a couple months. Three and a half days in a car with only two dogs for company! For some reason, a lot of people think I’m nuts. I say it’ll be an adventure and will probably give me a couple good blog posts.
The only downside is I’ll be on the opposite side of the country from Teacher, which means no dance lessons for two months. I don’t do well when I go without lessons for a week. How am I going to survive two months??
Don’t worry, I have a plan.
I’ve been recording videos of Teacher dancing my routines, so I have them to reference for practice. I found a couple dance studios near where I’ll be living, including a small ballroom studio. I plan on contacting them to find out if I can come in and use their space to practice for a floor fee or something. I’m also on the look-out for social dances in the area, so I could theoretically still get some partner dancing in. If any fellow bloggers or dancers know of a cool dance party or want to meet up, let me know!
If nothing else, I’ll practice at my east-coast home like I do now. The cynical silver lining is I’m already used to having to practice on my own most of the time, so transitioning to all of the time shouldn’t be too bad.
Since I won’t be able to interact with my normal dance peeps in person, I’m planning on interacting with my online dance peeps more! I’ve got some fun ideas for the road trip that should make it more entertaining for both me and you, and you can expect more personal messages from me over the next couple months. So if you don’t already, follow me on social media! Links are on the side bar. —>>>>>
2016 is not finishing the way I imagined at all. But that’s ok, you just have to keep moving forward and adapt to whatever Life throws at you, right?
I feel like that was quite inspirational and motivational, so I’ll leave you on that positive note.
Happy dancing!
